I’m thrilled to share that I was featured on the cover of the April 2025 edition of Caribella Magazine! This feature was an opportunity to talk about my journey—not just as a content creator, but as someone dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, culture, and traditions of the Bay Islands of Honduras.

What started as simple social media posts to answer friends’ questions about beautiful beaches grew into a lifelong project focused on celebrating the richness of the archipelago. In the article, I shared how I transformed my digital project into a book, Historia, Cultura y Cocina de Islas de la Bahía, and how I’m preparing my upcoming television series, Caribe en Honduras. Both projects aim to go beyond the surface-level view of tourism and show the islands’ deep cultural, historical, and culinary heritage.

From my early posts under the name Caribbean Honduras in 2016 to today, I’ve worked to highlight hidden spots across the islands: secret beaches like “la puntita de la roca,” indigenous archaeological sites in Utila, an astronomical observatory in Guanaja, and preserved indigenous spaces in Roatan. The islands each have their own unique personality, from local dishes that differ from one island to the next, to centuries-old cultural traditions that still thrive today.

The article also dives into my decade-long research and the book I published, which documents indigenous history, pirate treasures, and local culinary traditions. It shares my vision for a museum celebrating the diversity of the Bay Islands and workshops to preserve artisanal techniques, like traditional dressmaking.

Finally, the feature gives a sneak peek of Maravillas Ocultas, my upcoming 12-episode series produced by TelePais, which will explore everything from archaeology to the volcanic paths of Utila. My goal is to bring the essence of the Bay Islands to a global audience—one day even on platforms like Netflix—but first, I want Honduras itself to embrace and celebrate its treasures.

Being on the cover of Caribella was an incredible honor, and I’m excited to continue sharing the stories and wonders of the Bay Islands with everyone.
