The Bay Islands have memory. I preserve it.

I'm Jericca Warren — descendant of the first families to settle the Bay Islands of Honduras, and founder of Caribbean Honduras, the heritage imprint publishing the history, language, and cuisine of our islands. Books, a docuseries in production, a cookbook, a podcast — all rooted here, all archival-quality, all ours.

DOCUMENTARY SERIES

HIDDEN WONDERS

A cinematic documentary series that takes viewers through the Bay Islands to understand what makes them unique. It goes beyond tourism, connecting history, culture, and mystery through immersive storytelling, local voices, and the hidden wonders that shape life across the islands.

CARIBBEAN HONDURAS X UNITEC

The bay islands' cookbook

I first launched the Bay Islands Cookbook back in November 2019, and what started as a simple collection of recipes has slowly turned into something much bigger. For 2026, I’m redesigning it, standardizing every recipe, and expanding it in a way that actually does justice to the islands. Right now, there are 85 recipes being carefully worked on, tested and structured properly so anyone can follow them and get the same result every time.

One of the most exciting parts is that UNITEC (Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana) has kindly brought in their gastronomy students to be part of this process through their required project hours. They’re helping standardize the recipes while gaining hands-on experience, which makes this a real collaboration.

This new version won’t just be a cookbook—it’s going to include nutritional values, the history behind the dishes, stories, and little details that connect each recipe to the culture of the Bay Islands. It’s becoming something much more immersive, something that feels like home on every page.
